Questions, answered
No experience needed. The pins are already set, and your pattern tells you exactly which pin to go to next — you just follow the numbers with one thread. A Mini takes about an afternoon. If you can wrap a gift, you can wind a Stringture.
Nothing is glued, so nothing is permanent: just unwind back to the last numbered step you're sure of and carry on. The kit includes a spare length of thread, and if you ever get truly stuck, WhatsApp us a photo of the board and we'll get you back on track.
One or two faces, filling the frame, in good light — think a favourite portrait, not a group shot from across a braai. Pets work wonderfully. We check every photo before generating your pattern and tell you honestly if a different one would come out better. You can also test any photo in the free preview above.

Yes — each kit code includes up to three pattern generations, so you can try a different photo or crop before you start winding. One board holds one finished picture.
Kits ship within 2 working days of your photo check, then courier takes 2–4 working days — so order about a week before you need it. Made-For-You pieces take 7–10 working days plus courier. Racing a birthday? Say so in your first message and we'll tell you honestly if we can make the date.

The website preview runs entirely on your device — the photo is never uploaded. When you order, we use your photo only to generate the pattern and delete it afterwards. It's your memory, not our stock library.
Unopened kits can be returned within 7 days of delivery for a refund (courier at your cost). Made-For-You pieces are made to order against your approved preview, so they can't be returned — which is exactly why the preview comes first.
